Three Panel Soul is a slice-of-life (and occasionally gaming) webcomic written by Matt Boyd and illustrated Ian McConville. A derivative of the pair's previous webcomic, Mac Hall, Three Panel Soul offers a more somber look at current events, gaming, the author's lives, and life itself in a three-panel format. Some characters from Mac Hall (namely the authors) reappear in Three Panel Soul.

The comic began on September 5th, 2006 and joined Hiveworks in 2015[1].

Summary

Three Panel Soul strips are mostly independent, offering introspective commentary on moments inspired by the author's lives. McConville, Boyd, and McConville's wife have made frequent appearances in the comic as a result. Several recurring fictional characters, such as a mage who works in Human Resources, have also appeared in loose story lines.

Content Warnings

  • Violence: Groin-punching,
  • Profanity: Slang ("Dick")
  • Adult Themes: Drinking, mild sexual innuendo

There is also a recurring fictional character who names himself about controversial subjects, such as "the homosexual agenda" and "stonewall riots". The aforementioned character is a reference to Mac Hall [2]
