Sleepless Domain is an urban fantasy comic written and drawn by Mary Cagle. The comic is an original project by Hiveworks.
In the daytime, the city is perfectly safe. At night, a curfew is in place; families stay inside as the city streets fill with monsters. Only magical girls can combat these creatures with their innate or acquired gifts they discover and harness at their special school. Practically celebrities, these girls are regarded as champions, are honoured and respected above all else, with all the support that implies. It would be almost perfect...except for the part where they have to risk their lives every night.
- Violence: Cartoon Blood, Cartoon Violence, Fantasy Violence
- Profanity: Mild Profanity
- Adult Themes: Unknown
As of this writing, the comic deals with themes such as grief, the consequences of leadership, growing up, and finding a balance between freedom and responsibility. Characters die over the course of the comic, and the main characters deal with psychological trauma. There's also some violence and blood, however, none of it is gory. Some scenes are tense and creepy.
There is also some profanity.
