Mac Hall was a slice-of-life webcomic by illustrated by Ian McConville and written by Matt Boyd. It followed a fictionalized story featuring characters inspired by its creators and their time in college.

The comic ran from November 2000 to September 2006 and was followed by Three Panel Soul, which is also written and created by McConville and Boyd.


Mac Hall contains comedic, exaggerated situations inspired by McConville and Boyd's college (and post-college) lives as well as gaming culture.

About the Creator

Ian McConville is the illustrator of Mac Hall and an artist at the game company Monomi Park[1]. He is married to Jes, who appears in the comic.

Matt Boyd is the writer of Mac Hall and a programmer in Silicon Valley[2].


The first volume of Mac Hall (which includes strips from November 2000 to January 2002) is available through Gumroad[3].
